Who knew seeing 6 naked people slowly reveal their nakedness would be great entertainment? Naked attraction is a light hearted show that has guests choose their potential partner based off of their bodies. It is an interesting take on the dating show format- in essence the opposite to Blind Date.

The format is simple: 6 naked bodies, 1 knocked out each round for having more pubes than the average bear or for having a tiny codger, until just 1 super attractive individual is left- the one everyone knew would be there because they’re gorgeous.

What is interesting about the show is that at the end the couple go on a fully clothed date and 99% of the time realise they don’t get on. The fact that the show fails at its one aim- to find individuals a partner- is never mentioned or discussed, yet the show continues to chug on. The ending is an advert to all singletons to not choose a partner based on the size of their little man and demonstrates that looks alone do not make a good partner. So, even though the British public tune in to laugh at people’s nakedness and anyone without a supermodels body has no chance, there is actually a happy ending: the show educates people to look past the superficial.
